I was born in Busan, South Korea (yes, the city from the zombie movie!), and spent my childhood between there and Gumi before moving to the U.S. to pursue my degree in Computer Science at Penn State.
My journey was fueled by being named a Dream Scholar—I was selected as one of only 30 students nationwide to receive this full-ride scholarship from the Korean Ministry of Education.
While my background is rooted in engineering, I’ve always been driven by more than just "efficient code". I believe in design that just makes sense—the sweet spot where technical optimization meets aesthetic intuition.
You’ll find me at my pottery wheel in the corner studio of my home, or knitting blankets for my three orange cats.
I love experimenting with new recipes and prepping big batches of food for the week—I’m a big believer that delicious food and creative hobbies are the best ways to stay inspired.
Recently, I’ve been challenging myself to learn how to swim at the local community pool because I love the process of mastering something new (makes me stay humble and remind me of lifelong learner mindset!).
